The sun may have set on the latest season of Selling Sunset, but the drama continues to blaze brightly on social media.

Despite Netflix’s decision to forgo a reunion episode for Season 8, fans are still getting their fix of the show’s drama through online updates and revelations. Chelsea Lazkani recently stirred the pot by addressing speculation about whether the show’s producers or Bre Tiesi orchestrated a controversial conversation regarding an alleged infidelity.

The buzz began when Amanda Lynn, a friend of Bre Tiesi, accused Jeff Lazkani—Chelsea’s estranged husband—of being seen kissing another woman in a hotel lobby. In a revealing post on X (formerly Twitter) on September 7, Chelsea admitted that she had requested the producers to set up a scene with Bre to address the allegations. Chelsea, who filed for divorce from Jeff in March after seven years of marriage, stated that she wanted to address the accusations head-on rather than have them circulate among the office before reaching her.

During an Instagram Live session with Jessie Woo on September 9, Chelsea explained her rationale, saying, “I thought about it and I said, ‘This is gonna be a storyline.’” She wanted Bre to deliver the news directly to her to prevent the rumors from spreading and becoming a larger issue. Chelsea also alleged that Bre’s intention was to use the situation to generate a storyline and to potentially get her friend Amanda cast on the show. According to Chelsea, Bre had originally planned to bring Nick Cannon onto the show, but when that fell through, Amanda provided the alleged scandalous information instead.

Chelsea Lazkani’s perspective is that Bre, who shares a son named Legendary Love with Nick Cannon, was using the allegations as a plot device to gain attention and secure a spot for Amanda. Chelsea further claimed, “She didn’t have a storyline,” implying that the alleged infidelity was a strategic move by Bre to create drama.

From Bre’s standpoint, she feels that the cast’s reaction was a betrayal. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Bre clarified that she had informed Chelsea, Emma Hernan, and Chrishell Stause about the allegations before they were brought to the show. Bre defended her actions, stating that she simply brought an off-camera situation to light on the show. She also confirmed that while she did support Amanda’s desire to be on the show, she did not orchestrate any of the drama herself.

E! News reached out to representatives for Chelsea and Jeff, as well as Jeff’s lawyer, for comment on the allegations, but had not received a response by the time of publication.
